The collection remained intact and was passed to her nephew. Having been in storage in the years following Ms Webster's death, he decided to auction the collection. Two of the cases from the sale are pictured below.

In November 2003, a Florida auction house sold the collection of the late Hattie Webster. It consisted of around 115 cases. Strongly represented were silver case and those made of leather, suede and fabric. Although by no means spectacular, it is the only American collection of which details are currently available.
Ms Hattie Webster's collection began in the 1930s with a gift from a friend. It quickly grew and, in the years until her death in 1957, she amassed around 115 card cases. Her collection was featured on the cover of 'Hobbies Magazine' in 1944, and mentioned in the 'American Antiques Journal' in April 1948.
